ABM Franchising Group, LLC announced its franchise brand, Linc Service, was named among CNBC’s Top 50 Franchise Success Stories. ABM Franchising Group, a subsidiary of ABM Industries Incorporated (NYSE:ABM), is a portfolio of franchise networks that deliver comprehensive mechanical and electrical service and preventive maintenance solutions to commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. The franchising group consists of three franchise brands: Linc Service, GreenHomes America and TEGG.

CNBC crowned 50 franchise business owners – one for each U.S. state – as America’s Star Franchisees. More than 28,500 individual franchisees, representing 364 franchise brands, were vetted by CNBC's research partner Franchise Business Review to gauge satisfaction with their franchise system and significant financial success, including an income and return on investment that is above the industry average. In addition, franchises were evaluated based on three key metrics: 1) strong proof of concept in multiple markets, 2) clean review of the franchise disclosure document, and 3) solid financial performance as well as a good opportunity for franchisee return on investment. Linc Service’s franchise in Vermont, Mountain Air Systems, Inc. , received the honor of being included on the top 50 list because of their success as a franchise since 1993. Franchise owner, Liam O’Farrell, bought his family’s HVAC business from his parents in 1991 and continued to service customers in Burlington, Vermont. He soon realized he could grow the business faster by aligning with a proven leader in the HVAC industry and joined the Linc Service franchise network. Partnering with Linc Service allowed his business to become more proactive rather than reactive.

"Before, we would service customers when their HVAC system was in need of repair," O'Farrell explained. “Since joining up with Linc, we’ve been able to use the franchisor’s proprietary software to provide customized pricing and solutions for preventative services that, over the long run, can save customers time and money.”

Today, Mountain Air Systems’ 60 technicians serve about 400 customers throughout Vermont and parts of New Hampshire and New York, and O’Farrell has grown the company into a thriving $5-million-a-year business. The Linc Service system allows the company to focus on building long-term mutually beneficial relationships with their customers and improve their customers’ bottom line by reducing the money they spend to own and operate their HVAC equipment.

“We are honored our franchise brand, Linc Service, and franchisee, Mountain Air Systems, was selected to be included on CNBC’s Top 50 Franchise Success Stories,” said Bert Kendall, Senior Vice President of Franchising for ABM. “Our goal is to provide leading tools and services to our franchise network to help grow and support the success of each franchisee.”
