Linc Service, TEGG Franchises Come Together for 2018 Continuing Education Conference

ABM Franchising Group hosted its largest Continuing Education Conference on Jan. 18-20, when more than 1,200 Linc Service and TEGG franchise employees, and ABM employees came to the Hyatt Regency Atlanta for educational sessions, awards and an opportunity to network with vendors.

The annual conference, which was themed Creating Opportunities, offered more than 90 educational courses, dozens of roundtable discussions and the Vendor Showcase, which featured 73 industry vendors – the largest in the history of the event. The event’s Signature Sponsors included Infiniti Coatings, Nu Flow Technologies and Sunbelt Rentals. View a complete list of industry vendors who participated here.

“Our event tagline for 2018 is Creating Opportunities” said Bruce Phibbs, Senior Vice President of ABM Franchising Group. “That’s what we want to do for our franchises – help create opportunities through best-in-class technology, training and tools.”

ABM Franchising Group hosts the annual conference to provide educational and networking opportunities for its franchises, Linc Service and TEGG contractors. The 2018 event included a motivational speech from Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger, who made his dream of playing football at the University of Notre Dame a reality, despite facing nearly insurmountable obstacles.

During the conference’s Award Presentation, OTISAIR, Ltd., a Linc Service franchise since 2012 from the Grand Cayman Islands, was named the Contractor of the Year for the fourth consecutive year.

The Contractor of the Year Award is presented annually by ABM Franchising Group to the most outstanding Linc Service contractor. Criteria for achieving the award is based on, but not limited to, implementation of the Linc Service system and overall sales activity and performance.

“Franchise Owner of OtisAir, Sean Hill, began building the business solely on the trust of the Linc System with no preconceived notions,” said Steve Jesi, Senior Area Vice President of ABM Franchising Group. “He didn’t try to build his own spreadsheets, he didn’t use other software tools, and he didn’t tell me this is how we do it or it won’t work here. There is no magic, so with some hard work, determination and a vision, he simply implemented the Linc System 100 percent and had faith in it.”
